When our dear Houstonian friend and philanthropist Carolyn Farb asked us to join her, Dan Allison and Vanessa Riley for an important exhibit of British photographer Derek Riley to benefit The Levin Riley Legal Fund, how could we say no?
It’s all happening Saturday, August 18th in Houston at 4411 Montrose Boulevard in the first floor gallery space. The venue will be open for viewing and purchasing from 11am and the celebration is from 6PM – 9PM.
Guests can pay homage to Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland, Brigitte Bardot and so many more at a fun night celebrating Stars of the 1950's & 1960's during this sale of rare, celebrity photographs taken by "Project Runway" fashion designer Vanessa Riley’s father, famed British Photographer Derek Riley - all shot during the Golden Age of Hollywood.
Riley and her co-hosts want everyone to “Have a Cocktail, Shimmy into that Pencil Skirt or come in 50's & 60's costume.”
There will be a drawing for a vintage Marilyn Monroe print. Photographs will be available for the first time, never exhibited from $200 to $2000 per print, including four original Beatles photographs that will also be part of the exhibit.
