New York Fashion Week may have ended, but the emerging makeup and hair trends are quite impactful. The upcoming spring season dares to be bold, while still keeping it flirty and feminine.

Bobbi Brown for J.Mendel
Bobbi Brown offered up fresh looks that complemented each designer’s line. Makeup at the Tibi show was strong and adventurous, using bright yellows and pinks to offset the simplistic structure of the spring 2010 line. Faces were kept natural and clean at the Elie Tahari, and smoky eyes were the focal point at J. Mendel and Yigal Azrouel. Rachel Roy’s spring collection featured 70’s inspired bronze and peach eyes and cheeks, while the theme at Brian Reyes’ show was fair skin with a burst of color, with stained red lips as the main attraction.

MAC for Peter Som/ MAC for Doo.Ri
MAC Cosmetics showcased makeup that was flashy and daring. Black liner was used to create intricate designs around the eyes at the threeASFOUR show. Americana was the inspiration at Tommy Hilfiger, with gold shadow on the eyes and bubblegum pink lips. Lustrous fuchsias and violets popped at Peter Som, and electric blue lips stole the show at Doo.Ri.

Aveda for Rodarte
Aveda gave fashion week attendees a glimpse into hair trends at Rodarte. Model locks were roughed up and textured, pinned away from the face and flowing down the back in a braid-like cascade, creating an edgy look with a feminine touch. Watch out for these new beauty trends to lead the way into next season.
