Hospice Austin’s Fourth Annual Beauty of Life fundraiser kicked off the fall social season in style at the Renaissance Hotel. Austin philanthropists enjoyed an elegant brunch dedicated to looking great while helping those in need. The event, chaired by Anne Elizabeth Wynn, showed off the hottest fall clothing and jewelry lines featuring The Garden Room, David Yurman, and several other Austin favorites.
The honorary guest list included Charla Krupp, Style Expert of NBC’s “Today Show” and bestselling author of “How Not to Look Old”, which was used as a guide to transform Hospice workers from drab to fab with live style makeovers. Hospice employees glowing from a new-found confidence paraded down the runway, debuting their new looks. Krupp’s easy to-dos and fast fixes answers the burning how-to questions that every woman has been waiting for. She endorses a “Madonna like confidence, ‘don’t dress neither too old or too young, and skirts right at the knees ladies!’”

There was a load of glamour and glitz, and a plethora of heart-felt support while celebrating Hospice patients and their families. “We are able to provide care and comfort to everyone who needs nursing care, social work, bereavement services, chaplain services if they want it, volunteer services – both for the patient and family members,” remarked Grace Holland Washington during her moving speech.
In addition to fine food and an exciting silent auction, this year’s event featured a fabulous “Stock Your Cellar” wine raffle where two lucky winners received 50 bottles of fine wine to add to their collection. For more information, click here.
The successful event raised over $45,000 to Hospice Austin’s un-compensated care and service programs.
